About David Cowlard

I live in Auckland, New Zealand. Before this I was based in London. My work has been focussed on a form of architectural reportage and urban landscape that emphasises context, habitation and use of the built environment. In my current work I am developing my interests in field recording and creating trans media stories to compliment my picture taking.

I write and teach on urban and photographic issues and completed a Masters by Research project at Kingston University on documentary photography and urban thinking.
